Palestinian Artists, Writers, and Journalists Come Together Across Borders for a Two-Day Cultural Celebration in New York City

November 6–7, 2026 | Holy Trinity Church | Inwood, Manhattan

NEW YORK, NY — On November 6 and 7, Holy Trinity Church in Upper Manhattan will become a gathering place for Palestinian art, literature, journalism, film, food, and community, connecting creative voices in Gaza with collaborators and audiences in New York City.

Organized by Goods for Gaza, a grassroots initiative rooted in the Inwood community, Threads Between Us is more than an exhibition or fundraiser. It is a celebration of Palestinian creativity and an act of collaboration across borders, built on a simple conviction: Palestinian voices must not only be heard, but supported, celebrated, and given space to create.

The event brings together an extraordinary range of acclaimed and emerging Palestinian voices. Among the many participating artists, writers, journalists, and cultural workers are acclaimed poet Mosab Abu Toha, Gaza-based writer Munira El Najar, writer and speaker Muhammad Ali Mojaradi, filmmaker Yousef Alhelou, whose work includes Phoenix Rising, journalist and photographer Faiz Qreqa, Nelly Elmasry, and Shadi Al-Tabatibi; and visual artists Raneem, Dima, Soma, Amari, Ahmed Tariq, and Adham Alhrazyn. Human rights scholar A. Kayum Ahmed will lead thought-provoking conversations on Palestine, resistance, and solidarity. Together, they represent just a selection of the many voices participating from Gaza and beyond.

TWO DAYS OF ART, CULTURE, AND CONNECTION

Friday, November 6 | 6–9 PM — Opening Night

An intimate opening evening featuring Mosab Abu Toha and Muhammad Ali Mojaradi, alongside film screenings, Palestinian food catered by Ayat, and early access to the event’s bookstore, art prints, exhibitions, and cultural marketplace.

Admission is ticketed, with a suggested donation and limited space. No one will be turned away for lack of funds. Children are free—as they all should be—and welcome.

Saturday, November 7 | 11 AM–8 PM — A Full Day of Culture and Community

Saturday expands on Friday’s exhibitions, films, bookstore, art, food, and marketplace with conversations and educational programming, workshops, activities for children, and opportunities to connect with writers and artists in Gaza.

A special collaboration with a Palestinian zine collective and Coastline Press will bring independent publications and live conversations with writers in Gaza to New York audiences.

The day will conclude with a special screening of Yousef Alhelou’s Phoenix Rising, followed by a Dabke performance and participatory dance lesson, inviting everyone to become part of the movement.

Admission: $10 suggested donation. No one will be turned away for lack of funds. Children are free—as they all should be—and welcome.

At its heart, Threads Between Us is a collaboration shaped by the artists and communities it celebrates. Through creative exchange and direct financial support, the event builds connections that extend far beyond its two days.

All event donations will go directly toward supporting people and initiatives in Gaza.

Threads Between Us invites New Yorkers to encounter Gaza not through headlines or statistics, but through the creativity, imagination, and humanity of the people who call it home.
